Jim and Bonnie Grant are the agents that run Get Help With Insurance, Inc.
Jim is from the East side Of Pennsylvania and Bonnie is from the west side of Pennsylvania. We met in Texas in October 1996. We got married on February 6, 1999 at Cavatores Restaurant. We had the wedding before they opened! We loved being married in an Italian Restaurant.
The agency opened up in 2009 by Bonnie.
Jim was the state Claims Manager of the Homeowner Claims Department with Farmers insurance for many years. Jim finally joined Bonnie in 2010.
In 2026, the agency celebrated 17 years in business helping the wonderful people throughout Nevada.
Jim specializes in quoting personal lines insurance and Bonnie specializes in quoting all lines of business insurance and surety bonds.
Unlike a captive, or direct insurance company who only offers their own branded products, our agency is 100% independent of any one company. We work for you, the customer, and then we go and do the shopping for your insurance at a LOT of companies!!!!
We figured out how to make insurance simple. When we only worked for one insurance company, that was difficult because we were stuck hyping up just one insurance companies. Every insurance company works the same way. They all have to follow the rules of the Department of Insurance.
What makes insurance companies different is their loss ratios and how they price insurance. That is where we help you figure out the complicated insides of an insurance company. We have the experience, the knowledge and the willpower to shop your insurance at a lot of companies for free.

Jim started out in insurance when he became a Claims Adjuster with Progressive Insurance in Houston, TX. He got head-hunted to become the State Claims Manager of Arizona with Farmers Insurance. Jim managed one-half the state of Arizona Homeowners Claims Department. He improved the managing of the Claims Department so well, Farmers moved us here to Henderson, NV so that he can make sure the Homeowners Claims Department can run as efficient as Arizona did. Jim now managed the whole state of Nevada as the state Claims Manager of the Homeowner Claims Department with Farmers insurance for many years. Jim finally joined Bonnie in 2010.

Bonnie has a long resume. She worked in a lot of fields. During her first marriage she moved a lot so her employers had to change with the moves. I used to teach kids exercise. I was a financial planner. I was a tax preparer. I ran a gym. I was a Mortgage banker for GE Finance, Sofi and then later a Mortgage Banker where she ran her own Wells Fargo Location in Apache Junction, AZ. When Jim got promoted to become the State Claims Manager of the state of Nevada, we moved from AZ to NV. I had to make another change. I was tired of changing jobs. I sat down and looked at my life and decided who I was because of the crash of 2008-9, Bonnie left the mortgage industry. She tried to work 9-5 with the Yellow Pages. That honestly didnt work for her. She hated that job. So she looked inward at her life and thought if she became an Insurance Agent she could build a career that was long lasting. Here is why…
Bonnie was in a near-fatal accident when a dump truck ran a red light on her way to college when she was 20 years old in 1983 in Youngwood, PA. She was in the hospital for 3 weeks and 2 hours. The man that hit me was drunk. He killed someone else a year later. I had a lot of injuries. I was grateful to the insurance company and the attorney my parents hired. They paid for all of the injuries and still do because PA was a no-fault state at that time. Here is what is cool to me. I was one of five people who the insurance company gave lifetime benefits to. The other 4 people died within a year. I am still alive 43.5 years later in 2026! My injuries will be paid for the rest of my life as long as they are related to the original injuries. I have a lot of bulging discs, experienced a brain concussion and a few other injuries. I am still surviving and still I celebrate life every 2/21/1983 at 12:08 pm. ET another year of life to live! I believe I survived because I really was a body builder in my teens. I loved exercising. We used to hang out in the gym. Those we the days.
Helping others get insurance became my driving story. That is why we started the agency. It helped me survive and live a good life. Why not help others.
I got licensed in Property & Casualty and Life and Health in 2009. I joined Farmers Insurance in Henderson, NV. I called my agency Farmers Insurance – Bonnie Grant.
Jim joined me in 2010 and we built the agency to be a very large agency.
Farmers helped me build the agency and then one day, Jim and I felt like there was something missing. I had always wanted to be bigger in Business Insurance. There was a lot of competition in the personal lines market.
We researched and researched and noticed that our customers were cancelling their insurance and moving to other agents that were independent. We didnt know what that meant but we investigated.
Independent agents can work with a lot of insurance companies. We were working with JUST ONE. So in May 2020, we left Farmers in good standing and started a new agency in the independent insurance agent world.
The new agency was called All Risk Insurance Solutions, Inc. We wanted to help all kinds of businesses get insurance because I wasn’t able to when we were with Farmers. We had a limited appetite list of businesses that we could insure. Farmers had an excellent car and home policy but the competition was fierce. We were in a good position so it was time to start a new chapter in our lives.
Plus now as an independent agent, we represent the customer. When we were with Farmers, we represented the company as agents. Our job was to interview all clients to make sure they met the underwriting guidelines of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. That was it!
We now can go shopping at a lot of companies to find the same customer insurance at the right place. Now we were able to quote our customers’ insurance with A LOT OF COMPANIES! It is so cool to be able to do the shopping for our customers. No one charges the same rate. That is what makes this so fun.
In 2023, Bonnie made a marketing decision. It became so easy to help our customers now that we were independent agents. Bonnie felt that the name All Risk Insurance Solutions Inc was all about the agency.
What is important to me is the customer!
So while I was standing in front of the copy machine, I told that customer that all I want to do is help customers understand their insurance.

I was fearful that if I had children, my child would not be healthy. Plus I was told I would be in bed for 18 months if I had a child due to my back injuries. So instead of having children, we had fur babies instead. Mollie is our current furbaby. She is a Cattledog. Mollie was born in 2018 and she is our Mollie-girl. She loves bones, balls, and buffalo strips.
Jim and I live and work together because we love one another. It is just easier to work together because we both like insurance. We take rides on the atv. We work out in the gym as much as we can and we love playing pool when we get home.
We enjoy cooking too.
